Gary McGregor

Manufacturing Specialist

Gary has 33 years of manufacturing experience in a variety of industries and processes including fabrication, machining, electronics, cosmetics, and assembly of both capital and consumer products. He has extensive experience in leading lean conversions of batch production facilities, resulting in dramatic improvements in quality, delivery and cost.

Before joining CMC, Gary was Lean Manufacturing Manager for the Ropak Corporation Midwest Division, a $200 million plastic injection molding company. In this role he was responsible for defining the lean architecture for the division, including Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Changeover Reduction and Total Productive Maintenance.

Prior to this assignment, Gary served as Engineering and Quality Manager for Phonak Hearing Systems, a $150 million manufacturer of hearing assist instruments. In addition Gary led the accreditation of the Phonak Quality Management Systems at the ISO 9000:2000 level for all US facilities.

Gary has a bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo and an MBA from the University of Dayton . He is a Board Member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), Midwest Region and a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). In addition Gary has served as an instructor for the Lean Manufacturing Institute at the University of Kentucky and provided topical speeches at numerous conferences and workshops.
